A premier private capital services organization is seeking an experienced Tax Director to oversee tax compliance and consulting engagements for private equity and alternative investment clients. This leadership role combines technical tax expertise, team development, client relationship management, and operational leadership. The successful candidate will guide complex partnership taxation matters, review tax deliverables, mentor tax professionals, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.

Job Details

Obtain and apply detailed knowledge of partnership agreements to tax deliverables
Create and review tax carried-interest and allocation computations
Oversee review and validation of Forms W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, W-8EXP, and W-8IMY
Ensure proper administration of treaty-based withholding tax claims
Perform final review and approval of federal and state tax returns and supporting workpapers
Serve as a primary contact for clients and tax authorities
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax reviewers, and other stakeholders
Lead multiple tax compliance engagements simultaneously
Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate tax professionals across multiple levels
Direct workflow management and tax department operations
Provide technical guidance on partnership and international tax issues
Manage and lead special tax projects and strategic initiatives
Support operational improvements and best-practice implementation
Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines
