Torch Technologies is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator to join a team to assist the 23rd Electronic Warfare Squadron, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

As a Computer Systems Administrator your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Serving as an Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for supporting Client systems.
  • Resolving IT support requests from employees answering computer system issues
  • Communicates with employees on status of service requests, updating IT trouble tickets as needed
  • Strong technical knowledge of DoW enterprise Networks and Client Computing solutions
  • Diagnose and resolve end user computer issues
  • Provides COMSEC manager duties;
  • Maintains networked systems.

Job Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Information security, computer information systems, or a related field, such as IT, science, or engineering. A High School Diploma plus 6 years of applicable experience or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience will meet the education qualification in lieu of BS degree.
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience
  • Certification in Cyberwork Role 451 Intermediate Level
  • Possess proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoW 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program (Security+)
  • Experience with COMSEC, including devices such as TACLANEs, ViPERs, Key Management.
  • Experience with enterprise software management for large organizations
  • Ability to effectively communicate between multiple organizations to resolve technical issues
  • Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements.

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong communication and customer service mindset able to explain complex technical concepts in simple language,
  • High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware,
  • Troubleshooting background able to gather/analyze data to isolate root cause of issues,
  • Able to change configurations, setting & permissions to fix computer problems,
  • Ability to install or update existing software and hardware drivers,
  • Possesses strong Linux OS skills, encompassing programming, scripting, system configuration, and troubleshooting,
  • Experience with maintaining, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting multiple networks.
