Entry Level Data Center Technician

TEKsystems is hiring a team of Level 1 technician helpers. The hiring manager wants someone who is trainable with experience working a physically demanding job in the past. Work ethic and attitude are the main thing they are looking for as they will be working at a data center. Dependability and attendance are crucial as well. This job is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work and is looking to start off a career in telecommunications. They are looking for techs who want to learn and grow within the company rather than someone staying for a few months.
Key Responsibilities:
Pull and route cabling throughout the data center
Assemble, stack, and drill racks
Scan, label and port equipment
Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians
Additional Required Attributes:
1. Experience working in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar)
2. Strong work ethic and positive attitude
3. Reliable attendance history
4. Hands on electrical or military experience is highly valued
Skills
1. Must have experience working in a physically demanding environment (construction, working hands on with tools on a daily basis, etc)
2. Must have Good attitude and work ethic
3. Must have good attendance track record
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ideal personality profile is a hard worker who wants to grow with an organization, who is honest, and reliable. There is a lot of growth opportunity and looking for people who want to be leaders. This will most likely be a long term contract with the ability to go direct as an FTE once headcount becomes available. This position will stay at $20/hr and could increase if the person moves into a leadership position, but not guaranteed under contract until an FTE.
Once accepting offer, candidate is required to become OSHA certified if not already, and must purchase necessary equipment (est. $190) if not already owned (hard hat, work boots, goggles, etc.).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
