Summary

Job Title: Systems Analyst – Intern III
Solicitation: RITM1773550
Location: Austin, TX
Work Model: Hybrid – 4–5 days onsite per week
Contract: 12 months with possible extensions
Overall Experience: 1–3 years required; 3 years preferred

Required Skills & Experience:

Business Analysis / Systems Analysis: 1+ year – understanding business objectives, operational procedures, and system problems
Requirements Gathering: 1+ year – documenting user requirements, workflows, and system specifications
Feasibility & Cost/Benefit Analysis: 1+ year – evaluating proposed technical solutions
Python: 1+ year – data processing, scripting, automation, and prototyping
AI/ML: 1+ year exposure – applying pre-built AI models/APIs and supporting AI-driven features
Automation / Scripting: 1+ year – developing scripts and prototypes; Bash experience preferred
System Analysis: 1+ year – reviewing system capabilities, specifications, constraints, and limitations
Testing & Validation: 1+ year – supporting testing of new solutions
Cloud: Exposure to Azure or AWS
Containerization: Exposure to Docker
API / Data Integration: Experience with APIs and data integration
Git / CI/CD: Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
Agile / Rapid Prototyping: Experience or familiarity preferred
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, CIS, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence preferred

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.

1	Required	Document user requirements, workflows, and system specifications for new or modified applications (3 yrs exp preferred).
1	Required	Perform feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis for proposed solutions (3 yrs exp preferred).
1	Required	Assist in developing scripts and prototypes to automate processes and integrate AI-driven features (3 yrs exp preferred).
1	Required	Review system capabilities and constraints to ensure alignment with TxDOT standards (3 yrs exp preferred).
1	Required	Support testing and validation of new solutions in a rapid development environment (3 yrs exp preferred).
1	Preferred	Education: Graduates with a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence
