Azure Platform Engineer

Pay
$130,000 base + $15,000 bonus

Summary
Join a dynamic team responsible for managing and expanding a comprehensive Azure platform supporting critical enterprise workloads. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud services, automate infrastructure deployments, and collaborate across multiple technical teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of Azure-based applications. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a strong development background, experienced in Infrastructure as Code, Azure services, and supporting mission-critical environments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years in software engineering, systems administration, or DevOps roles
  • 2+ years supporting Azure workloads and cloud-hosted environments
  • Development experience in languages such as C#, Java, Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: ARM templates, Azure Bicep, Terraform, Azure CLI, PowerShell
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and platform security solutions in Azure
  • Support and documentation experience, with a focus on automation and process improvement
  • Azure certifications such as AZ-900 and AZ-305 preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities
  • Provision, manage, and operate Azure PaaS and SaaS resources through Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform)
  • Manage Azure services including Service Bus, Functions, App Services, Redis Cache, and API Management
  • Automate deployment workflows using Azure DevOps pipelines and source control management
  • Ensure platform security, observability, and reliability through proactive solutions and monitoring
  • Collaborate with development teams to migrate workloads to Azure native services with minimal downtime
  • Manage security, certificates, and credentials, ensuring compliance with security standards
  • Support incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in disaster recovery and security audits, contributing to organizational readiness
