Job DetailsKey Responsibilities
- Design electrical and control systems for industrial automation and material handling equipment
- Interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical system specifications
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers in a concurrent engineering environment
- Provide technical support to Purchasing, Production, Sales, Installation, and Product Support teams
- Conduct field surveys and assist with troubleshooting activities
- Develop electrical network layouts and documentation
- Travel up to 10% as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
- 3-8 years of electrical design experience
- Experience designing industrial control panels
- Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar tools)
- Familiarity with PLC platforms (e.g., B&R, Phoenix Contact, Mitsubishi, or similar)
- Knowledge of industrial bnetwork systems (e.g., X2X, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Familiarity with UL 508A panel standards
- Understanding of Ethernet and industrial network architecture
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and work with limited supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with material handling systems (e.g., conveyors, monorail systems, automated transport)
- PLC, HMI, and VFD programming experience
- Knowledge of safety circuits and safety PLCs
- Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Familiarity with risk assessments and ISO 13849 standards
