Job#: 3036577 Job Description: Power Platform & Data Visualization Developer
Location: Minneapolis, MN (onsite with limited flexibility)
Type: Contract (strong extension potential)
This role sits within a small internal engineering team that builds and supports automation and reporting solutions for business partners across the organization. You'll play a key role in bridging data visualization and low-code development-owning solutions end-to-end, from requirements to delivery and support.
What you'll be doing
- Build and enhance Tableau (and/or Power BI) dashboards, including working with and updating data sources
- Develop and maintain Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- Partner directly with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable solutions
- Troubleshoot and improve existing tools, workflows, and dashboards (not just greenfield builds)
- Optimize data queries and connections to support reporting and automation
- Support a mix of new builds and complex enhancements where business-created tools need to be stabilized or scaled
Required experience
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in both areas:
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate; Dataverse exposure preferred)
- Dashboarding (Tableau strongly preferred)
- Ability to work across both development and data visualization
- Experience supporting and improving existing solutions (debugging, enhancing, stabilizing)
- Working knowledge of SQL and data concepts (querying, debugging, basic optimization)
- Strong communication skills working with non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience connecting to modern data platforms or warehouses
- Exposure to multiple data sources (databases, flat files, etc.)
- Understanding of scalable solution design (especially within Dataverse environments)
Environment & process
- Small, collaborative team with strong technical support and mentorship
- Work is driven by real business needs-often automating manual processes or improving workflows
- Quick interview process (2 rounds) with an emphasis on practical experience
- Background check required
