Job Title: Brand Marketing Assistant

Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): Day
Work Arrangement: Remote with occasional onsite visit with 24 hour notice
Pay Rate: $27.00/hr on W2
Interview Type: Virtual
Note: The candidate must be a resident of Texas, as they may be required to report to the Austin office within 24 hours notice as per Capital Metro Policy.
Job Description:
- Capital Metro is looking for a marketing professional with experience in copywriting, brand marketing, and digital asset organization. Reporting to the Marketing Writer & Content Strategist, our ideal candidate will primarily work on communicating fare changes to our customers, making sure our creative content and existing print materials are updated & on-brand, and writing new evergreen deliverables as related to the fare change.
- The role is responsible for writing, editing, and proofreading public-facing marketing copy in collaboration with cross-departmental stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Create written printed and digital content to inform customers about fare changes both before, during and after implementation
- Work with creative & communications teams to classify new and existing brand materials and write metadata to ensure assets produced by Client Marcom team can be leveraged by the organization for years to come '
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and apply this voice when creating new marketing assets and distributing them across dozens of customer touchpoints.
- Develop new ways that existing marketing asset and information management systems can be expanded to service the needs of employees and partners.
- Develop strategy and tactics for storytelling and customer information as part of the MarCom team. Aggregate content from various sources, adapting it to new and existing channels.
- Edit marketing copy for content, accuracy, grammar, punctuation, voice, style, etc. in a timely and consistent manner.
- Assist with developing and executing email marketing campaigns
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism or related field. Related experience may be substituted on a year for year basis, up to four (4) years.
- Two (2) years progressively responsible professional experience in content creation and storytelling through print and digital formats; preferable experience with brand marketing.
- Proven experience in storytelling, writing, and editing.
- Experience working with creative teams (either agencies or in-house).
- Experience writing/reading Spanish highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Adept at shifting writing styles for appropriate mediums and audience from casual, catchy marketing hooks in digital ads, to corporate bios and project fact sheets, to concise functional web copy.
- Exceptional attention to detail: No sign, placard, or sticker goes unnoticed.
- Great memory: The ideal candidate will have the organization's taxonomy at their fingertips.
- Experience with Sitefinity or other Content Management System platforms preferred
- Intelligent problem solver
- Excellent communications (written and verbal), interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Adept with marketing technology, content and project management tools, with an ability to learn new software easily.
