Structural Designer - REVIT/BIM --- DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT!

• Compensation Plan: Depending on qualifications/experience, this opportunity can offer up to a base salary of $100,000 plus paid overtime at 1.5x. \t

• Model Development: Create and maintain detailed 3D structural BIM models in Autodesk Revit from engineering sketches, notes, and architectural backgrounds. Structural components include steel, concrete, masonry and wood. \t
• Drafting & Documentation: Produce clear, well-organized structural plans, details, and sections using Revit. (AutoCAD proficiency a plus). \t
• Coordination: Interface and coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP files to identify and resolve clashes or constructability issues before they reach the field. \t
• Quality Control: Use Bluebeam Revu for detailed drawing reviews, redline markups, and project documentation management. \t
• Standards Management: Implement and maintain company BIM standards, including Revit families, templates, and sheet sets, to ensure consistency across all deliverables. \t
• Collaboration: Work alongside staff engineers to translate complex calculations into accurate structural plans and details.

  • Experience: 1+ yearof experience in structural drafting/modeling. \t\t
  • Technical Skills: Experience creating and maintaining detailed 3D structural BIM models in Autodesk Revit (Structural) or a similar software from engineering sketches, notes, and architectural backgrounds. Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred. \t\t
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of structural systems, construction practices, and general drafting standards (steel, concrete, masonry, and wood). \t\t
  • Software Competency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Bluebeam Revu. \t\t
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for daily collaboration with the team. \t

  • Technical Degree in CAD Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field. \t\t
  • Experience in drafting/modeling for buildings. \t\t
  • Experience working specifically with design-build contractors or in a multi-disciplinary environment. \t\t
  • Familiarity with BIM 360 for cloud-based project coordination. \t
