Description Assistant Apparel DesignerLocation: Frisco, TX 75034 (Onsite Mon, Wed, Fri)
Duration: 3 month contract | 24 hours per week
We are seeking an Assistant Apparel Designer to support a fast-paced product and design team on a part-time, 3 month contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and hands-on experience in apparel submits, approvals, and production workflows. You will work closely with Technical Design and Product Management to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely execution across all submissions.
Key Responsibilities:- Review supplier submits in PLM, ensuring color, materials, and samples align with brand standards.
- QA and provide detailed comments on submits, flagging discrepancies and partnering with Product and Technical Design to move approvals forward.
- Work closely with a Technical Designer to align on specs, bill of materials updates, and supplier communications.
- Make light updates in Illustrator, including silhouette sketches, colorways, and assortment sheets.
- Track workflows and timelines in Asana while collaborating with Product Management to keep submissions on schedule.
Requirements Top 3 Must-Haves: Experience with apparel submits and approvals, including lightbox proficiency for fabric, color, and sample evaluation.Strong attention to detail with a QA and production-focused mindset.Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator in an apparel setting. Preferred Experience: Familiarity with PLM systems
Experience supporting design and technical teams in a production environment
Ability to manage multiple submissions and deadlines with accuracy
Skills & Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat; InDesign is a plus)
PLM systems (preferred)
Asana or similar project management tools
Strong organizational and communication skills
