Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft 365 System Analyst to provide technical assistance and support for our M365 environment. This role focuses on user support, troubleshooting, security and compliance management, and ensuring high availability of services such as Exchange, OneDrive, and Teams. The position involves serving as an escalation point for complex issues and contributing to the continuous improvement of our M365 services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide issue resolution and support for all Microsoft 365 services.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by the Service Desk.
- Troubleshoot system issues using Office 365 tools.
- Analyze usage, performance, and audit reports to identify trends and potential problems.
- Act as a liaison between end users and higher-tier support teams.
- Manage and maintain M365 security policies and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for M365 services, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of IT projects related to M365 services.
- Develop automation solutions using scripting languages like PowerShell to streamline tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience administering M365 environments in a large organization.
- 7 years of experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams, and OneDrive.
- 7 years of experience implementing governance and compliance policies in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Experience with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and security best practices for M365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, and PowerShell.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to create technical documentation and deliver user training.
- Experience working with cross-functional IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAM tools (e.g., Snow, Flexera, ServiceNow).
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing models.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and audit processes.
