ROLE SUMMARY
The Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise initiatives that support data governance, quality, and organizational transformation. This role serves as a key link between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, aligned with strategic objectives, and governed by established standards.
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and oversight of data focused initiatives while promoting consistency across governance processes and project delivery practices. This individual will collaborate across multiple functions to improve how data is managed, controlled, and leveraged throughout the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead end to end delivery of enterprise projects involving data governance, analytics, and data platform initiatives
• Implement and enhance governance frameworks related to data quality, metadata management, stewardship, and compliance
• Partner with data engineering, architecture, analytics, and business teams to establish and enforce data standards
• Monitor project progress through KPIs, governance metrics, status reporting, and executive dashboards
• Facilitate governance councils, steering committees, and executive stakeholder discussions
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data accuracy, ownership, lineage, and dependencies
• Ensure project deliverables comply with governance, security, privacy, and change management requirements
• Promote adoption of best practices for data enabled project delivery across cross functional teams
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• 7+ years of project management experience supporting large scale enterprise initiatives
• Proven experience delivering projects involving data governance, data quality management, metadata management, or related disciplines
• Experience leading data centric initiatives such as analytics programs, master data management, cloud data platforms, or enterprise reporting solutions
• Strong understanding of data architecture concepts including data lineage, cataloging, sourcing, and integrations
• Hands on experience with PMO governance frameworks, stage gate reviews, risk management processes, and compliance controls
• Advanced proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet
• Experience using reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and align cross functional teams around shared goals
