We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer to join the Privacy Engineering team to support executing controls over a wide range of data assets, including applications, analytical models, and business intelligence reports.
This role is critical in expanding the team's capacity to meet rising demand for Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and related activities.
The Associate Data Engineer will collaborate with subject matter experts, data asset owners, and stakeholders across multiple business units to ensure our organization maintains strong alignment with privacy regulations and internal risk management standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Privacy Control Execution & Automation- Support the execution of existing privacy engineering controls and define new as needed.
- Assist in the automation and streamlining of Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) processes for various data assets.
- Partner with senior data engineers to develop scalable solutions that improve control efficiency, tracking, and reporting.
Privacy Impact Assessment Management- Facilitate end-to-end PIA engagements with multiple business units across the company.
- Gather, analyze, and validate data asset information needed for compliance reviews.
- Support documentation, workflow routing, and follow-up activities for PIA completion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and other governance partners to interpret requirements and ensure consistent application of privacy standards.
- Engage with business and technical owners of applications, models, and reporting assets to collect information and drive necessary remediation actions.
- Support communication, coordination, and education efforts related to privacy obligations.

- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in systems engineering or administration or equivalent education and related training or experience.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, relational databases, ETL/ELT architecture and concepts, data integration concepts and big data concepts.
- Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects
