Software Quality Engineer Architect

Act as a key leader in the development and execution of software quality methods and processes.

Essential Functions

• Develops, executes, and documents software/hardware/firmware test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications.
• Leads the effort to establish the test automation framework that will be used across the engineering organization.
• Builds/purchases/integrates testing tools at the enterprise level and/or across release trains to provide a comprehensive test automation platform.
• Continuously improves upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques.
• Communicates and refines the evolving test automation strategy and tactics to software qa engineering management and individual contributors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a QA Manager, QA Lead, or similar role, with experience in quality assurance
• Experience leading Software Quality Engineers in a large-scale IT environment
• Experience with Performance Test tools such as JMeter
• Familiar with working in an Agile environment (Kanban, Scrum)
• Experience performing end-to-end testing across multiple platforms including Linux and IBM-i (AS/400)
• Experience using Git and other version control tools
• In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Background in developing and managing automated test suites using tools (Selenium, TestNG or similar) and scripting languages.
• Experience with software testing, defect tracking, and quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to both IT and Business area stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
