Project Manager

Role Overview
This is a senior-level IT Project Manager role supporting the implementation of a new behavioral health hospital facility in Richmond, Virginia. The role focuses on network facility buildout, technology deployment planning, multi-workstream project delivery, and coordination with executive leadership, IT teams, and stakeholders to support the transition to the new hospital environment. The job is open to candidates within the 100 miles radius of Richmond, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation activities for a new facility IT and network technology deployment
• Oversee requirements gathering, technical reviews, and acceptance with IT network teams
• Manage multiple project workstreams, timelines, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate project execution across infrastructure, deployment, procurement, and operational transition activities
• Facilitate technical issue resolution and remove project roadblocks for delivery teams
• Collaborate with executive leadership, business owners, IT Directors, Business Systems Analysts, and VITA network teams
• Support development and validation of network Build of Materials (BOM) documentation
• Track and communicate project progress, schedules, costs, and risks to stakeholders
• Ensure project delivery aligns with DBHDS and VITA governance and project management standards
• Support move/relocation planning and transition activities for hospital operational services and technology environments
• Drive project delivery through all phases including planning, execution, deployment, and operational transition

• Active PMP Certification – 10+ years
• Project Management experience – 10+ years
• IT Network Buildout/New Facility Build experience – 3+ years
• Experience managing multi-workstream projects – 3+ years
• Experience engaging with senior IT leadership (CIO, CTO, executive stakeholders) – 10+ years
• Experience planning installation of network technologies in new facilities – 3+ years
• Experience with facility move/relocation project planning – 3+ years
• Budget management and risk management experience for large-scale IT initiatives – 10+ years
• MS Project and Microsoft Office tools experience – 10+ years

Preferred Skills

• Facility IT Project Management – 3+ years
• Data Center migration experience – 2+ years
• Experience supporting healthcare or hospital technology implementations
