Principal Electrical Engineer - LNG

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will lead QA/QC processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate closely with EPC contractors and operations teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems. Your expertise will help shape the future of energy infrastructure, making a tangible impact on our industry.
Required Skills: - 10-15 years of experience in Power Systems, particularly HV Cable Systems, HV Gas Insulated Circuit Breakers, HV Switchgear, Harmonics, and Power System Protection
- Proficiency in Power System Modeling (ETAP experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical design standards including IEEE 519
- Excellent technical communication skills-verbal and written
- Experience with factory and site acceptance testing
- Ability to review and approve detailed design, procurement, and testing documentation
- Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix project environment
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Willingness to obtain TWIC
Nice to Have Skills: - Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with grounding, lightning protection, and bonding
- Familiarity with utility interfacing and grid coordination (CenterPoint Energy interactions)
- Experience with HAZOPs, safety, and regulatory compliance
Preferred Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Extensive experience in LNG or large-scale energy projects
- Proven track record in QA/QC and project management in complex electrical systems
Other Requirements: - Willingness to travel frequently between project sites, EPC offices, and suppliers domestically and internationally
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
