Pay Range: $35.78 $54.84 per hour

About the Role

We are hiring Mechanics (Level A, B, and C) to support maintenance and repair of buses and heavy-duty vehicles. This role is responsible for ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and operational through regular inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.


Key Responsibilities

Mechanic C (Entry Level)

  • Perform basic maintenance such as oiling, greasing, and inspections
  • Assist senior mechanics in repairs and road calls
  • Conduct brake and tire safety checks
  • Support preventive maintenance activities
  • Maintain basic service records

Mechanic B (Mid-Level)

  • Perform brake repairs, engine tune-ups, and routine servicing
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
  • Handle preventive maintenance inspections independently
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Repair minor air, electrical, and cooling system issues

Mechanic A (Senior Level)

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs
  • Work on engines, transmissions, HVAC, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Rebuild and overhaul major vehicle components
  • Lead and support junior mechanics
  • Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards

Basic Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Mechanic C: 1 year of basic vehicle maintenance experience
  • Mechanic B: 1+ year experience or progression from Mechanic C
  • Mechanic A: 4+ years of experience in diesel/heavy vehicle repair

Skills

  • Knowledge of diesel/gas engines and vehicle systems
  • Troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Ability to use mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and data entry
  • Understanding of safety procedures

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver s license (eligible for Class B)
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
  • Ability to pass written and/or hands-on skill assessment
