Summary
Job Summary
The NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support real-time, batch, scheduled, and on-demand data integrations across internal and external systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft, API development, ETL, system integration, and Salesforce integrations. The role involves requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop integration solutions using MuleSoft.
- Build and manage APIs, ETL processes, and system interfaces.
- Integrate MuleSoft with Salesforce using standard/custom connectors.
- Configure API Manager, proxy endpoints, API portals, and analytics.
- Apply integration patterns including messaging, caching, mapping, branching, and parallel processing.
- Support architecture, technical sizing, high availability, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support go-live and post-implementation activities.
Required Skills
- 7+ years in data modeling, OLAP, APIs, and ETL.
- 7+ years building and supporting integration patterns and APIs.
- 5+ years with web services, APIs, and ETL management.
- 5+ years with MuleSoft API Manager.
- 3+ years MuleSoft integration with Salesforce.
- 2+ years administering Mule ESB/MuleSoft across cloud and multiple environments.
- Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, CSV, and fixed-width files.
- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Perl, or Bash.
Highly Desired
- 5+ years hands-on experience with IBM IIB/ACE.
- 2+ years experience with AWS.
- Experience with Boomi is a plus.
