Job Description

TCS is looking for an experienced Windows & VMware Administrator for a long-term opportunity in Dallas, TX. Candidates must be local to Texas/Dallas and available for face-to-face interview.

Mandatory Technical Skills – Windows

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Windows Administration
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022)
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core infrastructure services
• Apply security patches, system updates, and service packs regularly
• Experience with OKTA cloud-based IAM tasks
• Knowledge of Azure environment and VDI creation
• User and permissions management including domain joins and policy enforcement
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and virtualization issues
• Analyze event logs and system alerts to resolve issues proactively
• Implement and enforce security policies and best practices
• OS hardening, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability remediation
• Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures
• Generate reports on system health, performance, and incidents
• Handle change management and ITSM tools like ServiceNow/JIRA
• Use PowerShell scripting for automation tasks
• Automate server provisioning, patching, and monitoring

Mandatory Technical Skills – VMware

• Minimum 3+ years of VMware Administration experience
• Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts
• Create and manage Virtual Machines (VMs) and resource pools
• Perform VM migrations (vMotion, Storage vMotion) and cluster management
• Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and availability
• Good knowledge of Veeam backup tools
• DR planning and DR testing experience
• Perform data restores and recovery operations
• VMware ESXi server patching and upgrades
• Knowledge of vROps and server fine-tuning/customization

Functional Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Team collaboration and decision-making capabilities
• Azure and VMware certifications are an added advantage

Experience Required

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience
