Fully Remote - Security Architect Role - Only W2 candidates.

Position Overview:
The selected consultant will work as part of an enterprise security team supporting the design, development, implementation, integration, and continuous improvement of security tools, automations, systems, and services. The role requires deep hands-on security engineering experience with a strong focus on automation, scripting, custom tool development, cloud and network security integrations, and operational support

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect / Security Engineer to support a large enterprise security program. This is a fully remote opportunity focused on security automation, identity and access management, Linux platforms, and enterprise cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise security automations and custom security tools.
• Build automated workflows for incident response, alert enrichment, case management, reporting, and remediation.
• Develop and maintain solutions using Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, JSON, YAML, and SDKs.
• Integrate security platforms with enterprise systems, APIs, data sources, and identity solutions.
• Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions, including provisioning, access reviews, RBAC, service accounts, authentication, and authorization.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based security systems and Docker environments.
• Support SOC analysts, incident responders, and security engineers through automation development, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.
• Monitor system performance, security integrations, automation health, logging, and operational metrics.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience across multiple security technologies and platforms.
• Advanced experience with APIs, SDKs, integrations, web services, and authentication methods.
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex security, infrastructure, network, and application issues.
• Linux administration, patching, scripting, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting, automation development, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with IAM, SIEM, SOAR, DSPM, ASM, vulnerability management, endpoint security, cloud security, monitoring, and logging technologies.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture, incident response, networking, secure software development, and industry security frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting large enterprise, multi-tenant, managed-service, or shared-services environments.
• Strong Linux and Docker administration background.
• Experience supporting SOC operations, incident response, and rapidly evolving security environments.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, Tenable, Cribl, and enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Experience creating playbooks, runbooks, technical documentation, and operational procedures.

Education & Certifications:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• 5+ years supporting large IT environments, security systems, software development, or infrastructure deployments.

Preferred Certifications

• CISSP
• Security+
• GIAC
• Linux, Cloud, Python, IAM, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications

Additional Requirements

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and credit check.
• Must obtain and maintain CJIS certification after onboarding.
• Must be comfortable participating in after-hours maintenance, incident escalation, and operational support activities
