Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to work on a high-visibility Gen AI project involving summarization and a chatbot supporting a high volume of documents. This position is for a self-starter with strong technical skills and leadership qualities who can effectively communicate difficult technical concepts.
Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data management and storage applications, often using new technologies
- Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Provide work leadership by assigning work and resolving problems
- Translate business strategy into achievable tactics
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or advanced degree and/or equivalent experience in a related IS/IT discipline
- Typically over 10 years of related IT experience
- 2+ years of professional experience as a data scientist executing end-to-end Gen AI projects
- Experience with LLM Models (Llama, Mixtral, Mistral)
- Experience with various inferencing mechanisms (transformer/pipeline, vllm)
- Experience with agentic framework: langgraph
- Experience with evaluation frameworks: RAGAS, langsmith, phoenix-arize
- Experience with embedding (all-MiniLM-L6-v2, all-mpnet-base-v2)
- Experience with LLM development framework: Langchain, LlamaIndex
- Experience with Rest API, FastAPI, Websockets
- Experience with Enterprise Redis Database, Qdrant, Cockroach
- Must have experience working with Model Risk Management/Model Governance, including delivering on a Gen AI project following model governance guidelines, writing a model document, and building model monitoring capabilities
- Strong programming experience with Python
Desired skills: - Angular experience is a huge plus
- Experience with Slurm, Hadoop/Hive, Neo4J, Apache Spark, Kafka, and MongoDB is a plus
- Knowledge of machine-learning techniques, classifiers, and statistical methods
- Advanced degree, or equivalent experience, in mathematics, data science or other quantitative discipline
- Demonstrated success in executing high-value, enterprise projects with clear articulation of benefits, costs, and risk
- Superb communication, coaching, and management skills
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
