Drupal Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Drupal Technical Lead / Solutions Architect to support a proposal submission and potential project execution for a U.S. Federal Government website modernization initiative.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading Drupal-based website modernization projects, cloud-hosted implementations, content migrations, security compliance activities, and federal digital services initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development and technical solution design.
• Develop the overall website modernization architecture.
• Design and implement Drupal-based CMS solutions.
• Lead content migration strategy and execution.
• Design cloud-hosted Drupal environments within Microsoft Azure.
• Develop security architecture and compliance documentation support.
• Assist in defining DevSecOps, CI/CD, deployment, and operational processes.
• Support accessibility and Section 508 compliance planning.
• Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions as required.
• Provide implementation leadership upon contract award.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of Drupal architecture and development experience.
• Experience with Drupal 9, Drupal 10, or Drupal 11.
• Experience leading enterprise website modernization projects.
• Experience with content migration from legacy websites.
• Experience implementing role-based access controls and secure authentication.
• Experience integrating third-party systems and APIs.
• Experience with Azure cloud hosting environments.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with website performance optimization and scalability.

Preferred Experience

• Federal Government website modernization experience.
• Experience supporting FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, or related compliance frameworks.
• Experience preparing System Security Plans (SSP) or supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
• Experience with Section 508 accessibility compliance and VPAT documentation.
• Experience implementing secure chatbot or AI-enabled website capabilities.
• Experience with Azure Government environments.
• Active federal security clearance is a plus but not required.

Proposal Support Requirements

The selected resource will assist in:

• Technical approach development.
• Solution architecture diagrams.

• Staffing and labor category recommendations.
• Proposal review and technical volume support.

Desired Qualifications

• Drupal Certified Developer or equivalent experience.
• Azure certifications preferred.
• Experience serving as Technical Lead, Solutions Architect, or Chief Engineer.
• Strong written communication and proposal support capabilities.
