We are looking for Mainframe Developer for our client in Toronto, ON

Job Title: Mainframe Developer

Job Location: Toronto, ON

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

Completion of a post-secondary education.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong background in software Maintenance especially mainframe.
Expertise in COBOL, JCL, IMS (DB/Online/Batch), DB2, MQSeries, Git/Endevor and Zeke.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, deploy, support and evolve software to deliver banking services.
Lead conversion, attestation and audit initiatives.
Manage individual priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Assess and analyze business and technical requirements in order to provide estimates and establish plans and timelines.
Create, update and contribute to critical documentation relevant to the projects.
Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and various IT partners.
Available for after-hours production support when needed.

Nice to Have:

Understanding/usage of z/OS Connect, IDz, zUnit and test automation.
Experience with CI/CD mainframe pipeline.
Familiarity with Java Cloud development.
