Licensing Renewal Coordinator

 

Description:
The Licensing Renewal Coordinator is charged with the responsibility of maintaining state compliance with the laws, rules, policies, and procedures of renewal and reinstatement licensing of resident and non-resident insurance producers (agents/brokers) and consultants, and resident and non-resident Insurance agencies. 
The position accepts and reviews license renewal and reinstatement applications, including any civil, criminal, or administrative background documents, and makes determinations as to a candidate's eligibility for renewal of a license as governed through the laws, rules, and policies of the state. 
The position works with the Enforcement Division, Vertafore/Sircon, NIPR, FINRA, and other state departments of insurance verifying possible disqualifications on an individual or firm's record. 
The position processes license reinstatement waiver forms needed for producers to take the Laws & Regulations exam as a part of reinstating an expired license within one year of the license expiring. 
The position advises candidates on the reinstatement process and requirements and tracks a candidate's reinstatement progress. 
The position also manages all communications with internal and external stakeholders regarding producer, consultant, and agency licensing renewal/reinstatement questions, concerns, or initiatives. 
The position will review, along with manager, continuing education (CE) due-date extension forms and CE retirement exemption forms; and may serve as a back-up for the receptionist.
