ERP observability Engineer

The Technical Analyst Monitoring and Data Insights is a senior-level position within the Information Technology Loyalty Product Platform team for a major airline. This role ensures operational excellence by leveraging real-time telemetry, dashboards, and log analysis to maintain the stability of loyalty technology solutions. You will translate complex system behaviors into actionable insights to drive platform resilience and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain dashboards and alerting frameworks for APIs, third-party integrations, and event pipelines.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and health metrics.
• Analyze telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) and user behavior using tools like FullStory to detect anomalies.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to post-incident reviews with preventative recommendations.
• Extract and manipulate large datasets using SQL within BigQuery or Snowflake.
• Define and implement data instrumentation standards across internal services and external partners.

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in Observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Sumo Logic, New Relic).
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with log-based scripting (KQL).
• Deep understanding of System Architecture, JSON payloads, and Telemetric frameworks.
• Strong background in Statistical Analysis and Quantitative Methodologies.
• Proven ability to reverse-engineer complex technical documentation.
• Experience in the Commercial Aviation or Loyalty Management sectors.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Cloud-based platforms (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Familiarity with Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts, including Error Budgets and SLOs.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and session replay tools like Quantum Metric.
