Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Managed File Transfer (MFT) / ETL Engineer to design, develop, support, and maintain enterprise file transmission pipelines using IBM Connect: Direct and related MFT technologies. This role is critical for supporting both project-based initiatives and ongoing production operations, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient file transfers across business-critical systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managed file transfer platforms, ETL processes, secure data movement, and troubleshooting mission-critical file transmission environments, particularly within financial or regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and support IBM Connect:Direct file transfer solutions.
Lead and support Connect:Direct modernization and rebuild initiatives.
Maintain and monitor recurring file transmission pipelines and workflows.
Support application-to-application and processor-related file transfer processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, transmission, performance, and operational issues.
Ensure secure and reliable movement of business-critical data across enterprise systems.
Collaborate with business, infrastructure, and application teams to support integration requirements.
Support ETL and file-based data movement processes tied to B2B and enterprise integration platforms.
Participate in production support, incident management, and root cause analysis activities.
Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and best practices for file transfer operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with IBM Connect:Direct and enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms.
Experience designing and supporting secure file transmission solutions.
Solid understanding of batch processing and automated file transfer workflows.
Knowledge of ETL concepts, data integration, and file-based data movement processes.
Experience supporting mission-critical financial or enterprise file transfer environments.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing connectivity and performance issues.
Ability to work effectively in production and highly regulated environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with B2B integration platforms and enterprise data exchange solutions.
Familiarity with SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, SSH, and secure data transfer protocols.
Experience with scheduling and automation tools.
Knowledge of financial services, banking, or other regulated industries.
Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security standards.
