Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Engineer in Westlake, TX.

Key Tasks:
* Systems Engineer will support a portfolio of critical applications running in a sophisticated, globally distributed environment
* Coordinates the planning and successful execution of special events and projects
* Participates in an on-call rotation with other members of the team to provide outstanding support to our customers
* As a Systems Engineer, you will assist with the successful rollout of new products by coordinating the activities required for launch and ongoing support
* Advocates for production stability and supportability by working directly with engineering teams to find opportunities for improvements

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
* Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Splunk
* Experience with batch scheduling software (e.g. Autosys/Control-M) and ETL processing
* Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL
* Experience with Informatica or similar ETL tool - debugging and addressing failures
* Experience with automated deployment tools & techniques (e.g. Jenkins)
* Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java
* Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation
* Proven technical background with Linux, Oracle databases, networking concepts, and ITSM-based methodologies
* Familiarity with event driven architecture (e.g. Apache Kafka)
* Knowledge of ITIL practices
* Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles
* Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS, routing) (F5 or AVI experience a plus)
* A proven grasp of AWS; Certification is a plus
* You have a good understanding of Snowflake; Certification is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
