Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Security Analyst.

Summary:
This role focuses on remediating security risks related to SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, trust stores, root certificate authorities, and machine identities across enterprise environments. This is not a traditional vulnerability-scanning position. The Security Analyst will work across Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Cloud, and Application teams to identify certificate and key-related risks, coordinate technical remediation, track issues through completion, and validate successful implementation.

Responsibilities:
* Identify expired, expiring, misconfigured, or outdated SSL/TLS certificates requiring renewal or replacement
* Coordinate SSL/TLS certificate renewal, replacement, deployment, and validation across enterprise systems
* Coordinate SSH key rotation, replacement, validation, and governance for secure system access
* Identify systems impacted by trust-store, root CA, and certificate authority changes
* Ensure appropriate certificates and certificate authorities are trusted across affected environments
* Partner with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Cloud, and Application teams to drive remediation activities through completion
* Track remediation progress, dependencies, risks, exceptions, and outstanding technical actions
* Validate certificate and key changes across production and non-production environments
* Provide reporting on remediation status and risk reduction
* Support adoption of certificate-management tools and automation to reduce manual certificate administration
* Use scripting and automation to support certificate, key, and remediation activities

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience in information security, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or cybersecurity operations
* Hands-on experience with SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, trust stores, or cryptographic technologies
* Experience coordinating technical remediation activities across multiple technical teams
* Knowledge of Linux, Windows, cloud platforms, and enterprise application environments
* Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
* Ability to track technical dependencies, remediation actions, risks, and exceptions through completion
