Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Specialist
Provide mission-critical identity and access management solutions for a secure, compliant federal environment. Duties & Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end support for Symantec IGA Suite, including Identity Manager and Identity Portal
Troubleshoot and resolve identity governance and access management issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
Maintain and optimize IGA infrastructure and architecture through updates, monitoring, and enhancements.
Configure, manage, and audit privileged access using Privilege Access Manager (PAM) tools.
Support directory services infrastructure (LDAP, Active Directory) for authentication and identity management
Ensure compliance with federal security standards and maintain Approval to Operate (ATO) through ongoing assessments
Develop and maintain project documentation, conduct acceptance testing, and manage deliverables.
Enhance user interface and reporting capabilities for identity portals to improve usability and data insights.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Bachelor s degree and 10+ years of relevant IT professional experience
7+ years of hands-on experience with the Symantec (Broadcom) Identity Governance & Administration Suite of products
Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, role-based access control, and compliance requirements in a federal environment
Experience configuring, customizing, and deploying IGA solutions, including workflows, connectors, and provisioning
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex identity and access management issues
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical topics and interface with the customer consistently
Strong skills in project documentation, acceptance testing, and deliverables management.
**Candidate will be required to work onsite at SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week**
Desired Qualifications:
Experience integrating IGA solutions with other identity and access management tools
Familiarity with federal security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA)
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Java, Groovy) for customization and automation
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific Broadcom certifications
Good understanding of Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) initiatives
EDUCATION
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
