Job Title: Analytics Systems Analyst (Snowflake)

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid)

 

Job Description:

We are seeking an Analytics Systems Analyst to support data analytics initiatives by capturing business requirements, documenting processes, and executing data queries in Snowflake. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to ensure accurate data delivery, reporting, and insights generation. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience with Snowflake, and solid documentation and analytical skills.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements for analytics use cases
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries in Snowflake
  • Perform data validation, data quality checks, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to support data pipelines and transformations
  • Create and maintain documentation (BRDs, FRDs, data dictionaries, process flows)
  • Support reporting and dashboarding teams with accurate datasets
  • Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Ensure data governance, consistency, and compliance with standards
  • Participate in UAT testing and production support activities

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data querying, optimization)
  • Advanced SQL skills (joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning)
  • Experience in requirements gathering and documentation (BRD/FRD)
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Experience with data validation and data quality frameworks
  • Familiarity with reporting/BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
