Workday Payroll Business Systems Consultant

Our Fortune 100 client is hiring a Business Systems Consultant for a contract role with a Fortune 100 client. This position supports a Workday HCM implementation with a strong focus on Payroll. You will help write user stories, build and execute test plans, and support payroll end-to-end testing, integrations, and deployment readiness. The role also involves working across related Workday areas, including Core HCM, Compensation, and Time and Absence. This is a hands-on position for someone who can define system needs, test payroll processes, and help resolve issues through each stage of implementation.



This is a fully remote position but candidates must live and work in the 48 contiguous states and follow an EST work schedule during core business hours. Our client is an industry leader with a large, cutting edge IT shop and great work culture. Apply today to learn more!


Essential Skills:




- Advanced Workday Payroll experience, including payroll testing and end-to-end validation

- Experience writing and executing test plans and test scripts

- Experience with inbound and outbound payroll integrations and uploads

- Experience working across multiple Workday modules with payroll overlap

- Experience defining system requirements and writing user stories

- Experience supporting deployment planning and issue resolution




Plusses:




- Experience with Employee Accounting and General Ledger integration

- Experience with PeopleSoft payroll or prior PeopleSoft migration work

- Experience running reports in Workday

- Experience with data conversion testing
