Payment Systems Engineer - ACI MTS

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a large financial services organization in Birmingham, AL, is looking for an experienced Software Engineer III to support critical money transfer and payment processing platforms.

Summary:
This is a highly specialized role for someone who already has hands-on experience with ACI MTS and UPF in an AIX/UNIX/Linux environment. The Engineer will support the platforms themselves as well as the in-house application layers built around them, with a strong focus on code releases, platform support, and maintaining compliance. This position works a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite per week. The preference is for candidates located in Birmingham, Atlanta, or Charlotte.

What You'll Do:
* Support and maintain ACI MTS (Money Transfer System) and UPF (Universal Payment Framework) platforms
* Manage and coordinate application and platform code releases across lower environments and through the release process
* Execute approximately 4-6 major releases per year, ensuring changes are properly propagated through the required environments
* Support multiple servers and application components running in AIX, UNIX, and Linux environments
* Maintain and support in-house transformation/application layers surrounding the vendor-provided platforms
* Troubleshoot platform and application issues and collaborate with operations teams supporting wire-transfer customers
* Address vulnerabilities and remediation activities to keep systems secure and compliant
* Work closely with business analysts, other engineers, and managed-service resources supporting day-to-day platform operations
* Contribute technical knowledge to an experienced team while continuing to learn and share knowledge with teammates

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of relevant experience with ACI MTS and AIX/UNIX environments
* Hands-on experience supporting ACI MTS and UPF platforms
* Strong experience working in AIX, UNIX, and/or Linux environments
* Experience managing and supporting software/code releases across multiple environments
* Ability to troubleshoot and support complex, multi-server application environments
* Experience working with operations/support teams in a production technology environment
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively on an experienced technical team
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with COBOL programming
* Experience with Perl scripting
* Experience with vulnerability remediation and technology compliance
* Experience supporting payment processing, money movement, wire transfer, or other financial transaction platforms

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
