Description

We are currently seeking motivated and tech-savvy Cloud/Mobile Developer Intern to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC. Our goal is to award contingent offer letters to those that are interested in working for SAIC upon graduation and support efforts to get your clearance processed during that time.

The developer will participate in the system architecture design, systems engineering, development, integration testing and validation, and all aspects of the software life-cycle (requirements to design to implementation to test) of a mobile application with backend web services. The candidate will be responsible for developing and testing Java code as dictated by project requirement.

The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in cloud/mobile platforms, experience with application frameworks and some experience with Cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

Experience with some of the following technologies: Java, Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS.
Experience with some of the following frameworks: React, NextJS, React Native, Android SDK, iOS SDK.
Experience with some of the following relational databases: MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres.
Experience with Amazon AWS environment is a plus.
Experience with OpenAI developer platform is a plus.
Any familiarity with AI/ML is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong writing and presentation skills.

Intern Program Requirements

Currently enrolled in or entry level from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
Must be local to the Greater Washington Area.

Customer Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if offered a position upon graduation, permanent opportunity after completion of the internship.
Location - Hybrid (Kingstowne, VA) up to 2 days per week on-site.
