The organization is seeking an experienced
Technology Business Management (TBM) Business Analyst to support expense transparency across the IT landscape. This is a
business-focused, non-technical role centered on financial transparency, cost allocation, reporting, and collaboration with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders.
Technology Business Management (TBM) Business Analyst Responsibilities - Lead TBM Expense Transparency activities across IT divisions, ensuring consistent financial reporting, allocation logic, and cost modeling.
- Develop, maintain, and refine TBM financial models, including cost allocations, service tower mappings, and run/innovate categorization.
- Partner with Service Owners to validate financial inputs, align cost structures, and identify IT expense drivers.
- Maintain reporting used to communicate spend insights and financial trends to stakeholders.
- Validate, enhance, and update TBM allocation methodologies.
- Improve reporting accuracy and defensibility by refining data sources, mapping logic, allocation rules, and cost-modeling assumptions.
Technology Business Management (TBM) Business Analyst Required Qualifications - 13 years of experience in Technology Business Management (TBM), IT financial management, cost transparency, IT billing, or chargeback principles.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting, cost allocation, and financial reporting/analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modeling, complex formulas, pivoting, automation, and scenario analysis.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights for non-financial audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills across IT, Finance, and business teams.
Technology Business Management (TBM) Business Analyst Additional Qualifications - Familiarity with TBM tools, cost modeling, allocation methodologies, and Power BI reporting.
- Experience with ServiceNow, including ITFM, CMDB, APM, service taxonomy, or request/asset workflows.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or similar ERP platforms.
- Previous experience supporting MTA organizations is a plus.
