Seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our FinTech customer team and help drive engineering excellence across a modern, cloud-native platform. In this role, you will lead by example, build high-quality software, solve complex technical problems, and set a strong technical bar for the team. You will be empowered to challenge the status quo, bring forward your ideas, and contribute to continuous innovation.

The ideal candidate is a full-stack engineer with strong backend depth and broad understanding across the entire software development lifecycle. This role involves building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications in a distributed environment that processes petabyte-scale market data. You will work closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions on AWS using modern technologies, serverless architectures, and big data platforms.

Strong communication, collaboration, and influence are essential, as this role requires technical leadership, ownership, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Responsibilities:-

• Design, develop, and deliver full-stack solutions using modern technologies and best engineering practices.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that process large-scale and complex datasets.
• Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot, and user interfaces using Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Leverage AWS cloud and serverless technologies to design highly available, scalable, and cost-efficient systems.
• Work with distributed systems and big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, and AWS EMR.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and support solutions.
• Partner with product owners, architects, and leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and implement robust testing strategies across the SDLC.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization for SQL queries and large-scale data processing workloads.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions, ensuring solutions meet scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality software and continuously improving the development process.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and AI-driven development practices.
• Leverage AI tools and techniques to improve productivity, quality, and innovation in software delivery.
• Mentor and guide team members while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering.
• Strong experience in Java, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and modern web application development.
• Hands-on experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience building solutions on AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, EMR, etc.).
• 4+ years of experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS EMR.
• Strong experience in SQL development and performance tuning.
• Experience with distributed computing and large-scale data processing systems.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including testing, automation, and CI/CD.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and software delivery.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient systems.

Preferred:

• Experience designing and architecting complex, business-critical applications.
• Experience working on large-scale or enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in financial services or market data platforms.
• Experience working with petabyte-scale data and big data ecosystems.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Unix shell, Groovy, or Perl.
• Strong understanding of distributed system design and performance optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
