Senior Python Developer (Backend / Cloud)
Location: New York, NY (3 days Hybrid)
Type: Full-time/Contract

Senior Software Engineer to build and scale enterprise-grade, cloud-native backend systems. You’ll work on production systems that prioritize performance, reliability, and scalability, collaborating closely with product and infrastructure teams.
This role is based in New York and requires regular on-site presence.

Design and build API-first backend services
Architect and scale high-availability production systems
Write clean, modular, maintainable code
Make pragmatic architectural decisions balancing speed and long-term scale
Deploy and operate services in cloud-based, containerized environments
Own systems end-to-end in production

Must-Have Skills
Python (strong proficiency)
FastAPI experience (highly preferred)
Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
Experience with Docker & Kubernetes in production
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization)
Experience working in Azure environments (AKS, App Services, CI/CD)

We’re Looking For

7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proven experience building scalable, production-grade systems
Strong backend + architecture mindset
Clear communicator with an ownership mentality
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, on-site environment
