System QA Engineer for a Global Consumer Device Company in Cupertino, CA
Summary:
In this System QA Engineer role, the candidate will focus on validating product quality and ensuring a strong end-user experience across wearable and mobile devices. This role requires hands-on testing, strong debugging skills, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to independently drive validation efforts from execution through issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end validation for assigned products, including test execution, issue reporting, and fix validation
Execute manual and system-level tests for wearable and/or mobile devices
Identify, reproduce, and track defects with clear documentation (logs, timestamps, screenshots)
Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, and operations teams to drive issue resolution
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for system-level issues
Ensure all validation requests and lab tasks are completed in a timely manner
Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal teams and stakeholders
Support lab management activities and ensure test readiness
Requirements:
1 3 years of experience in system QA, device testing, or related field
Experience with wearable and/or mobile device testing
Prior experience testing Apple products (minimum 6 months preferred)
Strong knowledge of Unix and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Proven ability to drive issues to closure across cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity
BS/MS in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent experience
Desired Skillsets:
Hands-on manual validation experience with Apple products
Experience working in lab environments and managing test setups
Familiarity with Apple ecosystem and product validation processes

Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite 5 days/week)
Pay Rate Range: $60-68(DOE)
