Mainframe COBOL Developer (Remote)

Hansen Talent Group is seeking an experienced Mainframe COBOL Developer to support complex application development, enhancements, and troubleshooting for healthcare claims adjudication systems. 

The Mainframe COBOL Developer will analyze business requirements, develop technical solutions, and maintain critical mainframe applications.

Duties:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, TSO, and JCL.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement application enhancements.

• Analyze business requirements and develop technical specifications.

• Debug programs, perform system testing, and document application changes.

• Support healthcare claims adjudication systems and related processing applications.

• Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable technical solutions.

Qualifications:

• Application development experience, preferably in a mainframe environment.

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, TSO, JCL, JHS, and NDVR.

• Experience with mainframe application development, testing, and production support.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of application integration and quality assurance methodologies.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
