Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant with SAP Testing skills
Location:- Remote
Job Description: We are seeking a SAP Test Lead with strong functional grounding in SAP FICO to drive end-to-end business process testing, including data migration for both historical data and in open status. The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of SAP FI, CO, and Project Systems (PS) modules, with a heavy focus on guiding manual test execution and validating data from custom ABAP programs and BAPIs. Experience with SAP carveouts is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities
Test & Migration Validation: Define test plans tailored for validating end to end business processes, custom data migration programs, custom BAPIs, and legacy data conversion logic.
Manual Execution Focus: Lead and actively participate in the manual end-to-end execution of functional test cases using standard SAP Transaction Codes (TCodes) in System Integration Testing, support User Acceptance Testing and verify data integrity pre- and post-migration.
Monitoring: Defect tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Collaboration: coordinate with other functional, technical and integration teams as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 3 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO environments with a strong focus on test execution, defect tracking, and data validation.
SAP FI / CO: Strong operational and working knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center, Profit Center, and Internal Orders to successfully evaluate test results.
Technical & PS Integration: Practical understanding of SAP Project Systems (PS) integration, custom ABAP programs, and verifying data processed via custom BAPIs.
Testing Approach: Expert-level experience with manual testing using standard SAP TCodes. Ability to track execution status and defects effectively using standard tools (like Jira or Excel) without automated tools.
Communication skills: experienced in communicating with key stakeholders on customer side, documenting their feedback and playing back to project team for required action
Preferred Qualifications
Migration & Custom Logic Experience: Prior experience working on SAP data migrations utilizing custom ABAP programs or BAPIs. Experience supporting system splits, carveouts, or company divestitures is highly preferred.
