Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Project Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software development initiatives. You will act as the driving force behind cross-functional collaboration, ensuring projects align with business goals while maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end management of software development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality.
Coordinate and facilitate Agile processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Break down projects into actionable tasks, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress against established milestones.
Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, product management, and QA teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Identify potential risks and obstacles early, propose mitigation strategies, and manage scope changes with stakeholder approval.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, progress reports, and technical requirements.
Utilize project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Asana to track workflows and provide updates to stakeholders.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating team performance and identifying opportunities to optimize processes.
Promote best practices in Agile project management to enhance collaboration and efficiency across teams.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience managing projects in software development or SaaS environments.
Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with proven success in leading technical projects.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Confluence, or Asana.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Preferred certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, CSM, or equivalent).
Experience in healthcare, health tech, or regulated industries is a plus.
Familiarity with software development practices, including APIs, cloud architecture, and mobile/web applications.
