We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Lead I to support the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of moderate to complex business initiatives. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, leadership, and external partners to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and process improvement skills. This position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, facilitate collaboration across diverse teams, and support continuous improvement efforts through modernization, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required and must be clearly listed on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, action item trackers, and project schedules.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple teams, departments, and business units.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed according to established timelines and objectives.
- Support project implementation activities and facilitate successful project execution.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, leadership teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Gather business requirements, facilitate discussions, and support consensus-building among diverse stakeholder groups.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Communication & Facilitation
- Prepare project status reports, executive updates, presentations, and project documentation.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
- Document meeting outcomes, decisions, action items, and follow-up activities.
- Present project information and recommendations to leadership and project stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Analyze existing workflows and business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Support process optimization initiatives and promote standardized project management practices.
- Assist with modernization, automation, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance operational efficiency.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks, dependencies, barriers, and potential delays.
- Track and manage issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop mitigation plans and escalate critical concerns to leadership when necessary.
- Support proactive risk management and resolution activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, risk logs, issue trackers, dashboards, and status reports.
- Ensure project records are accurate, organized, and compliant with organizational standards.
- Generate executive-level reporting and performance metrics to support decision-making.
Leadership & Accountability
- Support project governance and accountability across project teams.
- Drive follow-through on project commitments and action items.
- Promote collaboration, transparency, and consistent project management methodologies.
- Assist leadership in maintaining project momentum and achieving organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
- Minimum 3 years of project coordination and/or project management experience.
- Experience supporting cross-functional, cross-divisional, or enterprise-wide projects.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience facilitating meetings and coordinating stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with risk identification, issue management, and mitigation planning.
- Proven ability to support process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within large organizations or public-sector environments.
- Experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with modernization, automation, or AI-driven business transformation projects.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Planner, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled solutions, automation technologies, and digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
