Senior Java Full Stack Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Java Full Stack Developer in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and support large-scale, mission-critical enterprise Java applications
* Develop and maintain core Java services, REST APIs, messaging, batch processing, and distributed systems
* Deliver cloud-native Java applications deployed on AWS
* Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and ongoing production support
* Collaborate with product owners, SDETs, and platform teams to deliver stable, production-ready releases
* Support database-centric development efforts, including query optimization and troubleshooting
* Ensure applications meet high standards for scalability, resiliency, security, and fault tolerance
* Respond to production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
* Work within highly regulated environments, supporting compliance-driven engineering practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8-12+ years of hands-on Java development experience supporting enterprise systems
* 2-5+ years of capital markets experience in trading, post-trade, reference data, or regulatory platforms
* Strong expertise in Core Java, REST APIs, messaging frameworks, batch processing, and distributed systems
* Strong SQL skills with experience analyzing data, optimizing queries, and supporting production databases
* Hands-on experience building or supporting cloud-native applications on AWS
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AWS-based deployment models
* Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
* Strong understanding of enterprise non-functional requirements including scalability, resiliency, and security
* Proven experience supporting production systems and resolving complex production issues

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
