Job Summary
We are seeking a IBM i Application Support Specialist with strong experience in AS400/IBM i, DB2/400, and COBOL/400. The candidate will be responsible for application support, batch monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, enhancements, and coordination of operational activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong production-support experience and be comfortable working with clients and offshore teams while maintaining SLA and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor AS400 batch jobs and troubleshoot production issues.
- Perform application maintenance, fixes, and enhancements.
- Provide day-to-day production and application support for AS400 environments.
- Take ownership of assigned applications and ensure effective work tracking.
- Coordinate with offshore teams and manage assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Ensure SLA adherence and timely resolution of incidents and requests.
- Interact with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Track application support activities, incidents, tasks, and deliverables.
- Support compliance with established operational and service-management processes.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of recurring issues.
- Coordinate maintenance and enhancement activities across relevant teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM i.
- Strong knowledge of DB2/400.
- Strong experience with COBOL/400.
- Experience in AS400 batch monitoring and production support.
- Experience in application maintenance and enhancement.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and client-interaction skills.
- Experience working with offshore teams and SLA-driven support environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AS400 application operations.
- Experience managing offshore support activities.
- Familiarity with IT service-management processes.
- Experience with compliance, work tracking, and operational reporting.
