Role: SAP ABAP Developer – Data Migration
Location: Remote (USA)
Duration: 6 Months (Contract to Hire)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with solid data migration project experience for a strategic implementation project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building custom data loads, debugging batch processes, and optimizing performance in support of SAP DMLT initiatives. This is a technical, hands-on role focused on high-impact transformation work.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs for data migration and transformation
  • Debug and troubleshoot data migration issues in real-time
  • Optimize data load performance and monitor system stability
  • Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical blueprints
  • Participate in data validation, reconciliation, and post-migration support
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on involvement in SAP data migration projects (LSMW, BODS, IDOCs, or custom ABAP loads)
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
  • Experience writing data validation logic and error handling routines
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA data structures and migration best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to SAP DMLT, Migration Workbench, or SDT tools
  • Experience in high-volume data migration (100k+ records)
  • Background in S/4HANA implementations or system consolidations
