Job Title: Mainframe Developer IMS DB / IMS DC
Location: Peoria, IL (Remote/Onsite both opportunity)
Employment Type: Contract
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IMS DB and working knowledge of IMS DC to support enterprise-level mainframe applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in COBOL development, database management, and batch/online processing within large-scale enterprise environments.
Candidates with prior Caterpillar experience or local to Illinois are highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with IMS DB (Mandatory)
- Experience with Mainframe technologies including:
- COBOL
- JCL
- CICS
- DB2
- z/OS
- Ability to support and enhance legacy mainframe applications
- Experience with batch processing and troubleshooting production issues
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IMS DC
- Previous experience working with Caterpillar environments
- Local candidates from Illinois preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications
