Location: Englewood, CO 80112
Duration: 12+ Months Contract (with potential for permanent hire based on performance)
Shift: Monday-Friday, Normal Business Hours
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Technician III to join our team supporting advanced aerospace manufacturing and assembly operations. In this role, you will perform hands-on structural assembly, part-fitting, modifications, and quality inspections across a variety of aerospace components and major assemblies. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, safety-driven, and experienced with precision structural work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced structural assembly and minor part-fitting, including filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
  • Align structural parts using jigs, templates, fixtures, and other assembly aids.
  • Measure and verify part dimensions using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Modify incomplete and completed assemblies in accordance with engineering changes and configuration requirements.
  • Monitor, inspect, and verify work quality in alignment with statistical and procedural controls.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Physical, Mental & Emotional Requirements
  • Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs/steps.
  • Frequent repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions; high manual dexterity required.
  • Strong visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.
  • Adequate hearing capabilities to discern varying tones and volumes.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor environmental conditions (heat, cold, sun, rain, snow).
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, or hazardous materials.
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise typical of aerospace production environments.
Safety-Sensitive Position

This role is classified as Safety Sensitive, involving:
  • Responsibility for the safety/security of people or property.
  • Inspection of aircraft structures, equipment, or vehicles.
  • Performance of duties related to aviation operations.
  • Operation or supervision of vehicles, heavy equipment, or hazardous machinery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Haves
  • Must own and maintain personal tools in good working condition.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics, blueprints, engineering diagrams, manuals, and publications.
  • Skilled in executing installations per technical drawings while maintaining proper edge distance and pitch.
  • Progressive hands-on experience with structural assembly and minor part-fitting.
  • Ability to install a variety of fasteners, including rivets and hi-locks.
  • Experience with repair and refinishing techniques including airframe corrosion removal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Background in Aerospace & Defense, U.S. Department of Defense programs, NASA, or U.S. Military.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance, if required.
Education Requirements
Minimum
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant structural assembly or aerospace experience.
  • Higher-level technical degrees may substitute for experience.
  • Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
