We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled entry level Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data models for various reports, dashboards, and business intelligence applications. This role requires a deep understanding of data requirements, presentation layer needs, and the ability to develop semantic layers, analytic views, virtualization layers, and logical data models. The candidate will work closely with application developers, and other technical teams to solve complex data and performance issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, value-added data solutions.
- Data Modeling and Implementation: Develop and implement data models for reports, dashboards, and business intelligence applications. Gather necessary data requirements and ensure alignment with presentation layer needs. Develop semantic layers, analytic views, virtualization layers, and logical data models.
- Power Platform Integration: Utilize Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate) to enhance data modeling and business intelligence capabilities. Develop integrated solutions that leverage the Power Platform for data visualization, workflow automation, and application development.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Provide hands-on technical knowledge while working with developers, architects, data quality analysts, and other teams.
- Data Quality and Analysis: Ensure the quality of data sets and reports, making them repeatable and sustainable. Proactively identify, prioritize, and conduct analyses that drive meaningful changes in KPIs and critical objectives. Monitor the value proposition of reporting and analysis during the production process.
- Problem Solving and Innovation: Demonstrate creative thinking to resolve complex data issues. Troubleshoot data problems and work with the data architecture team to find solutions.
- Statistical Significance and Insight: Ensure statistical significance in insights and help educate stakeholders on the design and interpretation of analyses. Work with large, disparate data sets to uncover actionable insights.
- Data Management and Compliance: Log all data, reporting, and analysis requests. Maintain a safe, clean, and neat network and server operations environment. Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

- Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of experience in data modeling, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Expert in relational databases and data warehousing, including experience with SQL Server, Oracle. Advanced skills in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, SQL queries and Python.
- Power Platform Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate, and Power BI, for developing integrated data solutions.
Data Visualization Proven experience in implementing value-adding data visualization designs and best practices. - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis. Capable of influencing others to achieve objectives.
Familiarity with other BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Spotfire). - Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now and/or in the future. TECHNICAL COMPENTENCIES
- SQL Expertise: Advanced knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, extraction, and analysis, including complex queries and stored procedures.
- Data Warehousing: In-depth understanding of data warehousing principles, including dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema design.
- Business Intelligence Tools: Extensive experience with BI tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, including advanced DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure for data storage, management, and analytics.
- Data Integration: Knowledge of integrating data from multiple sources, including APIs, flat files, databases, and real-time data streams.
- Statistical Analysis: Familiarity with statistical tools and techniques for data analysis, such as R, Python, or SAS.
