## Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Security Operations Center Analyst I** to join a mission-critical, 24/7 Network and Security Operations Center team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional with one to three years of SOC, NOC, security monitoring, or technical support experience. The selected analyst will monitor critical communication sites and information systems, investigate alerts, document security events, perform initial triage, and escalate incidents according to established procedures.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to remain focused in a fast-paced, high-stakes operational environment.
## Key Responsibilities
* Provide proactive onsite monitoring of mission-essential communication sites, network systems, security tools, and information systems.
* Monitor alerts and events received through dashboards, email, chat, voice, ticketing systems, and other communication channels.
* Review, classify, prioritize, document, and escalate security and network alerts promptly.
* Perform initial incident triage and collect relevant technical information for further investigation.
* Analyze event data to distinguish legitimate incidents from false-positive alerts.
* Follow established procedures for data collection, analysis, classification, escalation, and incident response.
* Create accurate and detailed incident tickets, event logs, shift notes, and escalation records.
* Escalate critical or unresolved incidents to senior analysts and appropriate technical teams.
* Support network and cybersecurity incident-response activities as directed.
* Communicate incident details, findings, business impact, and recommended actions clearly to stakeholders.
* Coordinate with team members to maintain effective shift handoffs and operational continuity.
* Assist with the development and improvement of SOC playbooks, dashboards, metrics, alerting processes, and detection strategies.
* Meet established performance, documentation, triage accuracy, and response-time standards.
* Work collaboratively with internal technical teams and operational stakeholders.
* Perform additional SOC and operational support duties as assigned.

## Preferred Qualifications
* One to three years of experience working in a Security Operations Center.
* Experience in a Network Operations Center, help desk, cybersecurity operations, or technical support environment.
* Experience monitoring security, network, endpoint, or system alerts.
* Experience performing alert triage, incident classification, escalation, and documentation.
* Familiarity with SIEM platforms, network-monitoring tools, ticketing systems, dashboards, or incident-management tools.
* Basic understanding of cybersecurity threats, network activity, system events, and incident-response procedures.
* Experience identifying false positives and escalating legitimate security concerns.
* Experience supporting a 24/7 operational environment.
* Familiarity with SOC playbooks, incident workflows, metrics, and shift-handoff procedures.
## Work Requirements
The selected candidate must be able to:
* Work full-time onsite at **1 Technology Park, Harrisburg, PA 17110**.
* Attend an in-person interview at the Harrisburg work location.
* Work rotating shifts in support of a 24/7 operation.
* Work nights, weekends, and holidays when assigned.
* Begin the assignment on or around August 3, 2026.
* Complete an enhanced background-check process.
