Power BI / Power Platform Analyst

Vega Consulting is staffing a Senior level, Power BI / Power Platform Analyst for our direct client. This is a contract to hire job opportunity. Seeking candidates that reside within a commutable distance to Reston, VA. Candidates will be required to commute on a weekly basis to the client site.

Power BI / Power Platform Analyst will utilize data analytics to drive business initiatives, helping cross functional teams extract maximum value from information. The Power BI analyst will develop high-impact data visualizations for analysis, problem-solving, and delivering actionable business solutions.

Job requirement:

• Strong experience with Advanced Power BI: complex DAX, data modeling, row-level security, performance tuning, deployment pipelines, admin
• Must have Advanced SQL: databases, stored procedures, queries, star schemas
• Hands on experience with Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint integration, plus Power
• Data source integration: AWS, Cloudera, SQL Server, SharePoint
• Able to build "AI-ready" semantic models (data structures an AI agent can query). This does not mean building AI models.
• The ability to lead and mentor a team of Power BI developers and analyst
• Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with Stakeholders,: gathering and clarifying requirement
• Copilot / Copilot Studio / agentic AI used with Power Platform or Power BI
• MicroStrategy or Tableau background
• Degree in math, engineering or statistic
