We are currently seeking a Data Architect to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).

We are seeking a Data Architect to design, govern, and evolve the Symphony platform architecture for TCCC. This is a deeply hands-on role requiring both strategic architectural thinking and practical implementation capability. The architect will work closely with the Data Lead and engineering team to ensure the solution is scalable, optimized, and aligned with TCCC's metadata-driven framework.
Day to Day Job Duties:
  • Own the technical architecture of the Symphony data platform.
  • Design and govern the metadata-driven architecture that underpins the solution.
  • Lead architectural decisions for Phase 2, including refactoring, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Define and enforce standards for data modeling, pipeline design, and code structure.
  • Guide the transition from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Ensure pipelines are used strictly for scheduling - no ETL logic embedded in pipelines.
  • Drive automation, reusable patterns, and defined development processes across the team.
  • ctively participate in discovery sessions to derive requirements directly from data.
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to data engineers.
  • Collaborate with TCCC's core technical team on architectural alignment.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Apache Spark and its core concepts.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Scala and/or Java (code-first approach mandatory).
  • dvanced SQL skills and deep data warehousing expertise.
  • Strong experience with Azure Synapse.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (preferred).
  • Experience designing and implementing metadata-driven data architectures.
  • Proficiency with GitHub for source control and code management.
  • Experience integrating multiple marketing or enterprise data sources.
Travel: This position requires commitment to 4 days/week at the client's office in Midtown, Atlanta.
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
